Now, I'm debating between using fine matte paper, or maybe missing in some cloth via transferring the images onto, and perhaps either using some as the layer, or what lies beneath the layer.
I may frame the work, but it will be no larger than 6 x 6.
It's self-explanatory
*** Make Square Bigger For Hiro’s. That was just…um…yeah, it’s supposed to be Natalie’s hand.
*** Retake the Justin picture. Maybe have him hold something.
*** The narrative concept: Maybe connect them like “Laundry Basket = Clothes, where person sitting on clothes-pile is holding a bookbag = Books on bage three….etc..
*** Concept is murky, but I should decide where I’m going.
Yeahhhh.....
Well....here it is. I must admit, I'm not ecstatic over it. I wanted to alter the color in the back to be whiter, but that didn't quite turn out right. I took what I wanted to before, yet I took out an element- I threw in the concept of mysterious generosity, y'know...the whole "you don't NEED to be identified to give". ...I don't know... I think I wanted to go with how simple it is to just give. But I think I went in the direction...but I need a narrower way of doing it.
If my last drug thing wasn't enough, imagining throwing a friend away may play a better card. While which drug exactly is being mentioned is ambiguous (which, in the day and age could lead to debate - example: people wanting to legalize marijuana or something...), it's point that things you don't exactly need to put in your body just might screw up your life and relationships.
H'okay, we'll go ahead and get to the meat of the bad-stuff.
Now, to our left, we see the act of... doing cocaine. Bad stuff. At first glance, looked like a little kid was doing it. Maybe someone should play up on that for anti-drug ads. Kids seem to be indisputable representations of impressionables.
The Lego "Imagination" idea was too good to pass up. I loved those things as a kid, and they were the medium for lots of my imagination. This add really plays up on that idea (though I wouldn't take three square blocks and call it a T-Rex...but the exaggeration only helps in explaining)
And finally, I can't forget this one between the two dogs. I don't really have too much to say about this, aside from 1) either the dogs are ridiculously trained, or it's photoshopped, and 2) the obvious act of them 'partnering up' could be represented in numerous things, with its broad approach at something positive in regards to teamwork, or helping others out.
My Personal Hell is supposed to represent that I'm not a big fan of being in the presence of lots of people (I don't really think it's a full blown 'fear', I just feel out of place). I feel that when I'm in a crowd of some sort, I'm either not 'supposed' to be there with them, or my lack of overall interest in talking with them kicks in. It's a habit that's waning, no doubt, but I'd hate to be thrown back to where I was 3 and a half years ago. The two men seem out of place, but I like the concept, somewhat...
